Why Blogger Is Better Than Wordpress.com

Both Wordpress.com and Blogger provide a free subdomain for your blog, but if you want to use a custom domain (meaning a domain you've purchased elsewhere such as "example.com") Wordpress.com requires you to upgrade to a premium plan (meaning you need to pay). Blogger allows you to use a custom domain for free, and better yet, if you configure your domain for it, Blogger can even setup a free LetsEncrypt TLS certificate for your custom domain allowing your visitors access to your site over HTTPS. Blogger allows you to upload as many photos and videos as you want, for free, as long as you keep them under the size limits. Wordpress.com only provides 3GiB of space per blog. Blogger is a service of your Google account. You can easily delete that service, or your entire Google account. Wordpress.com doesn't allow you to close your account. There is no option for it.
