- You can have the door partially open to let in a breeze, and not worry about a big gust wind blowing it shut. You also have more control over how open or closed you want it to be.
- You can place a dowel (a rod, usually made of wood) in the track to prevent it from opening regardless of if it has been unlocked. You'll only be able to use this hack while you're home obviously, unless you have another way out, but according to the US Department of Justice's 2010 National Crime Victimization Survey (https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/vdhb.pdf), 28% of burglaries occur while persons are home.
