You May Be Using A Grandfathered Public Mobile Plan And Not Even Know It

Public Mobile sometimes makes changes to cellular service plans, but it appears these changes don't affect existing customers  of these plans. Customers continue to use the grandfathered version of the plan presumibly for as long as they renew it? I discovered this when I noticed changes to my plan which I knew I wasn't recieving. Personally, I'm glad Public Mobile doesn't automatically switch you to new version of your service plan, but does make it easy to switch if you'd like to. If you want to switch to the new version of the plan, the process is the same as switching to any plan. Just keep in mind there doesn't appear to be any way to switch back to your grandfathered plan, so read through the changes carefully to make sure nothing you liked is being taken away (especially the fine print regarding service areas, internet speeds, etc). To change to the new version of the plan, login to your Public Mobile account, click the Overview tab, and in the My Plan section click Change Plan. You'll be presented with a list of all current plans, and the option to choose one to switch to. You can even specify to have the change occur on your next renewal date which is really handy. If you don't see an option to change to the new version of a plan, you already have it.
