A 2000 Year Old Container of Liquid Has Been Found In China

A 2000 year old bronze pot containing about 3.5 litres of unidentified liquid was recently discovered in a tomb in central China. Initially it was though it might be some sort of alcoholic drink such as wine, because it had an alcoholic scent. However lab results show it is a poisonous concoction consisting primarily of potassium nitrate, and alunite. During the time period this container is from many noble families attempted to brew immortality potions (aka elixir of life) in the hopes of eternal life, and these ingredients are among those used for such potions. Often these potions were poisonous, and even fatal. It's possible this liquid is one such potion, and this would make it the first ever found in China by modern archeologists. But considering where it was found, it likely doesn't work.
